Unfortunately, Hodds does not pre-pay all of the relevant customs charges on behalf of their customers, and Irish customs charged more than 50 % of the original price of the item.

Hello there, Thanks for taking the time to leave us feedback, I'm very sorry to hear that you were not aware of the current customs charges that are due to be paid on all our international parcels (bar deliveries to the USA), unfortunately as these charges are decided by the country for delivery and not something we are able to predict they are something that would need to be paid by the delivery recipient to receive the parcel. I was surprised how long the purchases took to arrive in the store, it took ten days after being dispatched to finally arrive which was a bit worrying as the money was taken from my account...

Delivery longer than other companies

Delivery is just over a week so a little slower than most companies, somethings wrapped excellent sometimes just in a plastic bag. I just wish they didn’t use both cardboard heavy box inside plastic...

Very slow to ship. I appreciate the current challenges, but the other retailers I use, all of whom are also running sales, have managed to ship very quickly. All my orders from those other retailers...

Hello there, Thanks for taking the time to leave us feedback, I can confirm unfortunately that for standard deliveries we do advise it can take up to 7 working days from date of ordering for the parcel to be delivered I'm afraid which is in part due to the unhurried dispatch period which can take 1-4 working days to occur. We do offer faster delivery options but unfortunately these do have to be requested when viewing the basket prior to checkout. Kind regards,
