Thank you so much for your feedback about your guided tour on the Camino. The reason a split day in Melide is included in our guided tours is to cater for the different fitness levels in the group. It is not the most exciting stop along the way but it helps split an otherwise very long day for some pilgrims. We hope you enjoyed the trip overall and you travel with us again in the future. Thank you for sharing your feedback. It is true the Via Francigena is not the same experience as the Way of St James, mainly due to the fact it is not as busy or popular. However, section 14 across Tuscany is one of the most beautiful and we are surprised to hear you didn't enjoy it. We have taken note of your comments regarding walking notes and maps as we update them every year; as well as your feedback regarding the hotel in Colle di Val d'Elsa.
