Thanks for your feedback and we're sorry that the local renovation works took the edge off your holiday. Our Product Manager has just returned today from a visit to the island and confirms that there is an ongoing upgrade of the road infrastructure taking place, although there's nothing currently happening in the vicinity of our hotel. On Gozo, the ramp to the harbour is being resurfaced and although visible from the hotel, the work is currently fairly contained. Angus Russell Planning Manager

We're sorry for your disappointment with the local walks however we are aware that it was particularly warm during your holiday with temperatures in the thirties throughout. We also understand that some paths were closed without warning by the local authorities during your stay due to army training in the area which resulted in some last minute changes to the leader's walk programme. We're sorry that you didn't enjoy your most recent holiday as much as you'd hoped and that you hadn't been feeling too well just before the holiday. We recognise your preference for largely coastal walking, but we do feel that the range of walks included does give a good feel for the island. You're right about the small group size, however although this holiday operated as a loss to us, we felt that with six clients, four of whom were solo travellers, this would still be good holiday and that it would have been a shame to disappoint those looking forward to their break by cancelling it. We're surprised at your comments about Ventnor appearing run down as we've had several staff members and leaders visit over the last year. Although certainly bigger than Yarmouth, we chose Ventnor as our base for these holidays due to its pleasant atmosphere and having the attractions of a small coastal town, as well as good immediate access to varied walks and good transport links.
