I'm really sorry that there was a delay in shipping your parcel, I believe it was held for a time so we could establish if there was any outstanding duty and taxes owing seeing as the parcel was imported to the UK from an EU country. I do agree that this timescale is too long so please be assured we are reviewing our procedures on how we handle these type of issues. forward2me now have an address available to our customers in Germany, this address has been made available so our customers can purchase goods from countries within the EU and not incur any issues with customs clearance or duty and taxes. Hi, Many thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry that you are unhappy with the cost of shipping from Germany to Belgium. Germany is a fairly new faciltiy for us, we have worked very closely with our couriers to obtain the best pricing possible for our customers and feel that we do offer competitive pricing compared to other forwarding companies who offer a similar service to us. Shipping rates from our UK to EU countries do tend to be lower than rates shipping from Germany mainly due to the high volume we ship from this facilty so we can command better pricing from the couriers. I see that you have received better pricing from Amazon in the past however forward2me offer a completely differnt service to Amazon. The price quoted by forward2me includes a free address to receive your goods, accept and process your packages on receipt and store them until you are ready for shipping. All export paperwork is included in the price and full customer support from receipt of your parcel to delivery in your home country. Amazon deal with much larger volumes than forward2me and command better pricing from the couriers, often sellers on Amazon are able to incorporate the cost of shipping within the sale price of the goods to offer shipping at a much lower rate or even free of charge. forward2me offer a service and do not sell their own products so this differs from Amazon who are primarily a selling platform. I have noticed that you have shipped a multi-piece shipment. forward2me do offer a very competitve rate with DPD within the EU however this service is for single piece shipments only. We do also offer a combine and repack service, this is when customers make multiple purchases and combine and repack them into one package for shipping. This may be a better option for you going forward and the service can be chosen from your inbox before shipping. With regards to the delivery costs, I see that you shipped your goods in a multi-piece shipment. We do offer a combine and repack service, when this option is chosen our warehouse team evaluate the parcels you are looking to ship to see if we can repack them and reduce the overall size to ensure that you obtain the maximum value with the courier. Shipping prices are generally calculated on the amount of space the shipment takes up in transit, this is called the volumetric weight. It is only if the actual weight is heavier than the volumetric weight that the actual weight would be used to calculate the cost.
