Thank you for taking the time to post feedback. I am delighted to hear your daughter loves using her Upsee. As always with Firefly, our mission is special needs family participation. I am sorry to hear your daughter's PT feels there is minimal physical therapeutic value. Since the Upsee is still a relatively new product on the market, we are in the early stages of conducting research on the therapeutic benefits and are working with leading universities on this. However, there are many reported outcomes of using the Upsee- Physical: Develops walking patterns and increase range of movement in flexion, extension, abduction and adduction of lower limbs. Builds on standing tolerance and endurance and coordination abilities. Using the Upsee encourages weight bearing and balance (both static and dynamic). Futhermore, bilateral hand function and motor skills are encourage. The Upsee promotes trunk and head control and improves muscle tone and posture. Cognitive: Encourages initiation, promotes proprioception and spatial awareness, sensory motor awareness and improves attention/retention and concentration skills. Social: Inclusion in play, participation in family activities and social interaction. Keep an eye out for our Upsee Therapy Programme which will be launched after Christmas.
