Thanks for your recent order and for taking the time to give us your feedback, although I’m sorry you weren’t delighted with the beers in the box you chose.
We’ve been trading for over 14 years now and in that time we’ve worked with over 500 different producers. When we started, very few beers were available in cans as most brewers preferred glass and while the beery landscape has changed over the years, most of the Best of British Beer customers are still quite mainstream in their tastes.
The beers we select for our Ultimate Craft Beer collection come from breweries we know well and have worked with for years. We buy directly from them rather than using a wholesaler or distributor.
All the breweries featured are award winning and the beers we pick are always amongst their best sellers. We’re not going for really strong beers, flavoured or sour beers such as Vault City or Tynt Meadow. Neither are we choosing stouts or porters, Best Bitters or lagers. We’re trying to create an exciting collection of pale, hazy pale and IPAs from all over Britain that are great examples of that genre.
I hope this goes some way to explaining our purchasing policy and if there’s a particular style or brewery you'd like including in your next purchase, I will do my best to sort it.
Cheers
Will
