Thank you for the review. We will be increasing the number of seats and changing the style next year. Meanwhile, we are sorry your family was unable to find a seat during your recent crossing from the Island.
The ships appear busier at this time of year because customers understandably prefer not to use the outside decks. Each can legally carry 915 passengers and crew so we have enough life saving equipment for this number + an additional 10%. The only time we get close to the ships capacity is on the Thursday & Monday of the Isle of Wight Festival and Bestival. As you would expect, the UK maritime industry is very tightly regulated and passenger safety is always our first priority.
