Red Funnel always provides timely crossings at a reasonable cost to Islanders. The special deals are always appreciated - I just wish there were more of them!

Normally we would have taken the ship out of service but unfortunately with Red Osprey in refit it would have meant cancelling sailings and causing even more inconvenience. The regulations require working toilet/washroom facilities for the sale of F&B items. The ships engineers in conjunction with external contractors were working throughout the day to rectify the problem which requires the dismantling of quite a lot of pipework. We do sincerely apologise for the inconvenience to guests.
As always excellent crew and check in staff, did arrive at s/ton early for ferry and they got me on the
earlier one, always a bonus, food on board good, hot and very welcome
On cowes-Southampton - no toilets so no food, but these things happen. However, very crowded with all seats taken. We had to sit on the floor.

Unfortunately Red Osprey is in refit so we were unable to substitute the ship. Our own engineers in conjunction with external contractors worked throughout the day to rectify the problem which required the dismantling of quite a lot of pipework.Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience.
I realise it was a freak event but no working toilets....????
Surely it would have been better to sort the problem before sailing or bring in the back up ferry?
Also why are the indoor seating...

my journey with red funnel was good as i had motored from the north down to bsouthampton having booked an early morning crossing i was able to cross at midnight after ariving considerable earlier...
