After terrible drive we arrived at exactly 6pm. Drove to the gates and really kind female member of staff checked and then reopened gate to allow us on. It delayed the ferry leaving by one minute but...

Arrived early for our booked ferry and were accommodated on earlier ferry - brilliant!

Prices on refreshments could be cheaper. More ferries in the evening, ie less of wait from 6 pm sailing Southampton

But dog owners have to suffer the most appalling conditions, I hope that the new facilities on the refurbished ferries are better.
