Thank you for your comments, our pricing is based on demand and we do try to offer value for money by keeping prices as low as possible and usually fares only rise annually in line with RPI. Vehicle fares are nearly always cheaper if booked well in advance and quieter sailings will be cheaper than travelling at peak times.
We have a fluid pricing system which means that if customers amend their sailing times then subject to availability the price of the ticket can change amending the ticket price.

Red Funnel's standard reply to my complaint about fares does not address the issues. The fares are exorbitant - it can be cheaper to cross the Channel! Booking well in advance carries the risk of having to cancel or amend the booking and therefore paying yet more! And why am I charged more if I go away for two nights rather than one? What extra service am I paying for in this case? Islanders are held to ransom by the ferry companies and both Wightlink and Red Funnel do a great job of deterring visitors.

One thing which I always notice and forget to mention is the lounges are always so cold. I travel fairly often on both services and always find the seating area uncomfortable and very cold. Could we have some heating please! Considering how much we pay for food they could heat the ship up!

Travelled on Monday 20th January 14 on the noon sailing to Cowes. Loaded and unload fine, but ferry was very cold in the lounge.

As always good - fog delayed crossing otherwise good
Very well organised and all ran to schedule. Comfortable and wasn't crowded. Only real item of criticism would be that the food/refreshments were a little over priced, but it wouldn't stop be sailing...
