Tried to claim in an unrelated condition that was not covered for first 12 months and it was denied. Currently getting my vet to verify this

Any item that was disclosed at point of sale may become an exclusion and therefore any exclusion on your policy will not be covered. If the exclusion is only for 12 months it can be reassessed after this period to get it removed from your policy.
