With regards to our provision we are a small bespoke outfit that provide good quality trekking holidays & we hope that the level of support before during & after reflects this. We don't offer flight inclusive packages as some of the bigger companies as in this day & age we feel that most people like to shop around for the best deals on flights.

Regarding packed lunches as mentioned on the phone our clients tend to prefer to select their own picnic each day from local bakeries & shops which is all part of the experience, this also avoids any wastage of unwanted food which we feel is a more environmentally friendly approach.

Accommodation wise the trek is 11 nights in duration & due to the nature of the terrain as you know when up on the high section we have to use 2 refuges, Cabane Mont Fort & the Cabane Prafleuri & both refuges do not provide private rooms & facilities. On all other nights private rooms are available & you had single rooms on all available nights apart from the Auberge Schwartzhorn in Gruben.

Thanks for your comments regarding the guide, Gary is an exceptionally experienced & well respected guide & we have had some fabulous feedback this summer from folks that have trekked with him. It is fair to be say that this group had a larger number of clients that really weren't fit enough & Gary did his best to include them so they could at least walk on some days. This all makes for a very difficult management situation for the guide & is also very hard for those clients who have prepared fully for the experience. In light of this & taking on board your comments & others who trekked in this group, I will review the policy regarding issues surrounding clients who have not prepared adequately for summer 2019.

I am aware of the issues within this group & it can be said that some folk where totally unprepared fitness wise for a trek of this nature, there was also some odd behaviour from certain clients which caused some strange group dynamics. This is absolutely not the norm on our treks & it doesn't come up regularly, folk tend to be in good physical shape and take time to read through the information supplied so they can plan & prepare accordingly.

Gary is a very experienced & well respected guide & if you read though our feedback from this summer you will see some fabulous feedback from the clients he has guided. I think to be honest he was faced with a very difficult task given the poor preparation & fitness of some of the group & also the behaviour that happened as a consequence of this.

Yesterday I responded to Jakes who was also in your group, I think some of the comments in my response are pertinent in this case with you may wish to read.

I am so sorry that this detracted from your experience & I truly apologise on behalf of those concerned, I shall look for ways to tackle this in the event of this happening again.
