Done the deal on the phone and was told the process would not take too long.Then the paper work came and came and came. Too much repetitive paperwork!

thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you were disappointed with the timescales and the amount of paperwork. We do try to cut paperwork where possible. The usual application form for your chosen provider runs to 12 pages, whereas the HL streamlined form is half this and was partially pre-filled for you.
However I accept it is still paperwork and I’m sorry this kept coming. At this stage it is not possible to complete an annuity application over the telephone or online. It’s something we’re keeping a keen eye on, as once all providers can support online applications this will undoubtedly save time.
