Thank you for your feedback on our English Wagyu steaks. As stated in the details of the product this is English bread wagyu with a BMS of 6-7. A Japanese wagyu, also known as A5 has a BMS of 10-12 so you simply cannot compare this to a Japanese Wagyu steak. As you mentioned they are distinctly different. If a person is wanting to try a Japanese Wagyu steak we would recommend our A5 Japanese Wagyu steak, as you can see from the product images these steaks have a higher marbling which is typical of Japanese Wagyu and what makes it famous. It's also what gives its buttery succulent rich flavour. You have accidentally mistaken this English bread wagyu for a Japanese bread wagyu and these are entirely different products. Wagyu beef is bread in many countries now including Australia and Chile, these breeds tend to be half breeds and the marbling is as such not on the scale of a A5 Japanese wagyu which is why they are less marbled and cheaper in price.
