thank you for your feedback. The manufacturer and ourselves recommend that for additional security a small amount of glazing sealant can be applied to the outer ring of the vent during installation. This will prevent removal of the external part of the vent. If the vent is fitted in an opening window or close proximity to a window handle then we'd also recommend that a handle lock or window lock is fitted. For more information please refer to the 'Security' section of the fitting instructions. Nick MD
