I've never travelled to IoW before and the experience was very pleasant. Quick and easy.
Sailing was on time and loading was at an acceptable time.
Main criticism is leaving terminal in Southampton where you have to wait for pedestrian lights to go red before you can leave the terminal,...

very nice attentive staff, good coffee and comfy seats
Very good from check-in at East Cowes terminal to driving off at Southampton. There was a cheerfulness by the staff and I do not think it was just because it Christmas day.
many people couldn't find a seat - not right that people have to sit on the floor

The refit of the Red Falcon will not be completed till April - and that is only one of the boats in service - at peak periods more capcity is required by introducing more ferries - it only requires 3 or 4 coaches to be on any ferry to cause major problems
