It's disappointing to read your comments concerning the service pre trek, I've reviewed our email exchanges, all answered diligently within a 24 hour period by me personally, so I'm a little perplexed by that. In terms of the specifics you mention whilst trekking :- This section of the trail was closed last year due to rockfall. It was due to reopen this summer, hence sending out our route cards as normal. Once we realised it wasn’t reopening we sent all of our WHR clients a link to our website news page that outlined the problem & gave specific route options, I'm sorry to learn you may have missed that. We do hope this didn't detract from the sheer splendour of the mountains along this route, well done for completing this challenging trek.

The accommodation was as advertised although the directions to the hotels/lodges was inadequate. The information on public transportation was inaccurate and out of date.

The information provided on the route cards relating to buses was mostly incorrect. For example, the first bus from Chamonix was described as a free bus but actually you needed to pay. One of the other buses, also described as a free bus that runs every 30 minutes actually was a paid bus that only ran once every two hours. We got far better information from people we met on the trek who were using Macs and had a Macs app which was extremely useful and accurate. Aside from these minor issues we had an incredible time on the TMB.

Hi Maureen, nice to meet you in Chamonix and in Les Houches, thanks for your feedback, so glad you had a great time with Alex, she most certainly is a great guide. Alex mentioned to me that you though you hadn't received information, I am perplexed by this as we never have comments like this, I gave the following info to Alex & asked her to verify with you.
At the time of booking you received all the necessary documents & information after which we don't send any further info out until January.
I personally send a monthly group email to those booked on each scheduled date. In January, Feb and March I send out emails that outline how best to prepare for your summer adventure, it also gives useful links and mentions useful documents that can be downloaded from our personalised booking platform 'Manage My Booking'.
8-6 weeks before the start date we sent out joining instructions to the group, this contained all the last minute information, useful links and the trek briefing details, this will have come from Martina.
Once we had carried out our recce of the route in mid June I sent out a trail report and asked you to keep an eye on our news page for further updates. Subsequent updates mentioned that the trails were now clear and micro spikes were not required.
By your comments I can only assume that you did not received these emails, I have checked and the emails were sent to the same contact email that was provided at the time of booking. The emails go to each lead booker & we ask that you disseminate the information to friends also booked on the same booking.
Did you received the above information? If so & you think more info would have been beneficial, let me know what we missed and we will improve things for next time. If not, I am not sure what could have happened unless MBT mail ended up in Spam. It might be worth checking.
