Dear Margaret, We sincerely regret that your order was not delivered within the provided time frame. Your sofas were passed onto the carrier well within the time frame to deliver to you by the end of the 2 week period, however, unfortunately, the carrier did not schedule the delivery within their usual time frame. We have contacted the carrier and have scheduled your delivery for the first available date - 11th December. Please accept our apologies for this unusual occurrence. Should you like to discuss your delivery or have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We regret to hear that the sofa you had purchased and were looking forward to receive and use, could not be delivered as it did not fit through your door. The door width you had advised our agent of on the phone would allow sufficient space to bring the sofa through, however upon receiving a picture taken on delivery, we could see that the entrance was very narrow, and not sufficient for the large sofa you had purchased. We can see that the delivery men had even tried taking the sofa out of the packaging, but this had not helped and since there was no other way to deliver the sofa, it had to be taken away. We offer a free delivery service to most of the UK with furniture of all sizes, including items being brought to room of choice and assembled free of charge. While we aim to make our sofas fit into any home, some designs are bulky in nature, and it is up to the customer to check the measurements prior to making a purchase to ensure the item fits into the property before delivery. As per our Terms & Conditions, in case the item does not fit, the fuel, wage and labour costs are covered by the customer in a form of a standard £60 fee which is deducted from the refund. We sincerely apologise that you could not enjoy the sofa you had purchased with us, but we hope the reason behind the failed delivery charge is a bit clearer.
