Hello Lucy, I have recorded my electricity usage weekly for some years now so can look back at comparable times for last year for instance, at this time last year my peak to off peak ratio was 65% peak 35% off-peak which explains why my charges are much higher. Currently the ratio is reversed to 65% peak, 35% off-peak, so when the time comes in February 2017 to sign a new contract I will look with interest at options with lower peak time charges. We have no other energy supply, only electricity. As your heaters are very efficient they heat up very quickly and also cool down quite quickly so using more off-peak time is not practical, I have set them to come on at 7:00am and this makes the living area warm when we need it at around 8:00am. The off-peak finishes at 7:30am so I don't think it would be advantageous to move the switch on time earlier. The switch to lower, background temperature is set for 9:30pm and off-peak doesn't start until 12:30am. Our temperatures are set for 18° moon time and 21° sun time. Finally, please advise your sales rep that his "promise" that our overall electricity costs would reduce dramatically is not correct for reasons stated above. We are however very satisfied at this time with the efficiency that the heaters have with keeping our house warm. David Ashmore.
