Thank you for your review, and I'm sorry to hear you've had problems with your blind. I have checked our system and I can't see that you have been in touch to report this issue, as this is something we're very happy to help with and encourage all customers to get in touch if they experience any issues. I am getting a new chain sent out to you and we'll email you with instructions on how to attach your new chain. This is very easy to do. The metal chain will separate if excessive pressure is applied to it, and this is a child safety feature we cannot ignore or override. However, with general use, the chain will not snap. It can separate if the pin end bracket is fitted too close to the barrel of the blind, with the pin being half-compressed. If it is fully compressed the bracket will make contact with the barrel of the blind and act like a brake, making it stiff to operate, which can cause the chain to snap.

Hi Robin, thank you for your kind review. I'm glad you are happy with your blind. In terms of our recess deductions for vertical blinds, we try to keep the deductions to a minimum. We make a 6mm deduction to the width and 12mm for the drop to give a 7mm space between the bottom of the louvre and the window sill. Any overly excessive deductions would allow a lot of light to pass around the edges of the blind. We always recommend measuring the width in three places down the window as most recesses aren't perfectly square. Thanks again for your review!
