Good to speak a few moments ago and sincerest apologies for the problems you have experienced. We don't do softwood at all so I suspect the lighter wood may be lime or possibly poplar which are both hardwoods. Whilst we use poplar for the kindling it should not be appearing in the bulk bags and lime we have occasionally as all our wood comes from mixed woodland so I suggest you have been unlucky in this instance. With ref the small pieces, this will have been a mix up from the processors it has come from, but we are about to insatll a new cleaning system to ensure we eradicate the problem of smaller pieces. Once again apologies for the problems but glad that we have been able to resolve the issue to your satisfaction and look forward to hearing from you again when you need more logs.
