Once again we can only apologise for your experience shopping with us and will use your situation as a case study to try to avoid these situations arising in the future.
I am sorry that you felt it your only option to to accept our refund on the doors, however we do state on our order paperwork that a Carpenter should not be booked before receiving and checking all goods.
To clarify our delivery, I have never suggested a direct delivery, I merely stated that when you deliver in excess of 20,000 doors per year it is inevitable, but not acceptable, that sometimes damage can occur in transit - In all instances we would try to resolve these issues as quickly as possible.
I have had another look at the notes on your order, with particular regard to your latches, and I can see nothing that suggest prior to March 13 that you had raised this issue with us, at which point we provided you with free of charge replacements. Once again we are sorry that these replacements did not meet your expectation but can assure you that these upgraded products do work perfectly with your chosen handles.
I know that this doesn't help you but we have now recruited 2 further Carpenters who, in these kind of situations, would be sent to site to rectify issues like this.
You are correct that a door is "swung" in its frame prior to fitting the handles etc. however nobody is trying to suggest that you did anything wrong in this instance. Our Door Experts are very knowledgeable and I would be surprised to hear any of them suggesting that ironmongery is fitted prior to swinging the door.
Finally, as we all know, a consumer is far more likely to utilise a review site to air their grievances rather than for giving praise. I am confident that the percentage of happy customers far out ways the percentage of unhappy ones, however we will always strive to improve both our product offering and services, hence us using this independent review site to gather valuable feedback.
