Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your recent stay at our cottage. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve our services. We’d like to address each of the concerns you raised: Ant Issue: We sincerely apologise for the ant problem during your stay. We understand how disruptive this must have been to your holiday. We immediately treated the cottage and were able to relocate you to alternative accommodation. We’ve implemented an ongoing treatment programme throughout the summer months to prevent this issue from recurring. Patio Doors: We apologise for the inconvenience with the stiff patio doors. This was caused by wood swelling due to weather conditions. We’ve since had a locksmith repair the issue, and both doors are now functioning properly. Décor: We acknowledge that the cottage’s décor reflects its original 2009 design. We appreciate your feedback on this point and are currently reviewing our refurbishment plans. Wood Burner: We understand your disappointment about the wood burner being unavailable. Unfortunately, a bird’s nest issue in the chimney made it unsafe to use during your stay. For safety reasons, we couldn’t permit fires until this is resolved. The birds are protected during nesting season, but we’ll be addressing this during our annual chimney sweep in September and installing a cowl to prevent future occurrences.
