dont book with this company. their online prices are not correct. charge more then double for luggage compare to airline. customer support is zero.

Our website clearly states that the prices are not live and subject to change on confirmation. This is shown on every page of the order process and reiterated in the terms and conditions to which agreed when placing your order. Every opportunity is given during the final confirmation for you to decline and cancel the order and no funds will be taken. We do note however, that your booking is for accommodation and transfers only and no flights have been booked with us.

Okey let me explain in bit more detail. We booked both accommodation and flight with holidays Gems for 6 adults and 3 children. Next day received a call from their agent John advising that we also need to pay for checkin baggage as only 5kg allowed in handcarry. So we thought to book 4 suitcases. He advised we need to book suitcase for every passenger (9) due to their policy/system and quoted £70 per suitcase which made us surprise that no airline charged that much. Our flight was with monarch, they allow 10kg handcarry and charge £43 per checkin baggage. Holiday gems could not justify why they charge £70 when airline charge £43. Their agent advised to book the flight directly which we done.
Now the real problem starts. Agent booked the airport transfer on the wrong dates. It took more than a week and 6 calls to sort out the issue. But this is not where the problem end. we recently contacted hotel to re confirm our booking. They made us totally surprised and shocked by advising hotel is booked for 6 nights when we paid holiday gems for 7 nights. So again contacted customer services and after a week and 4 calls, problem is not resolved. Every time I have been told somebody will get back to me. No avail. I am stressed due to all the mistakes done by them and guess what they not even said sorry once.

Confirmation with your ATOL certificate was sent 24 hours after the booking. As this was sent to the email address provided, please check your spam/junk folder for any filter. Final travel documents will be forwarded by email when available and after online check in.

Thank you for your feedback. The advert clearly shows that no checked bags are included although each passenger is entitled to 10kg per person free hand luggage. The costs, unfortunately, are airline driven and a matter over which we have no control. We do have a nonpremium number shown on our website which has no extra fees attached. 0333 014 3672 We do trust that your city break will be exceptional.
