Thank you for your feedback. Your first Debt Management Plan payment was made in July. As you rightly say we wrote you in September to give notice that our fees were increasing by 1% from 1st November, subject to a minimum and maximum charge. Increasing our fees is something we don’t do lightly and we do appreciate the impact it has on clients. The change was necessary to enable us to continue to provide a high level of service to all clients. We do understand your frustration, especially as this has come at a relatively early stage of your plan, however, we do believe that our service continues to offer good value for money. Thank you for your feedback. I was concerned to read your comments so we’ve listened to the phone call that you had with our Life Advisor. You are correct in saying that in the event of your death Freeman Jones provides life cover that would clear the remaining debts included in your IVA in full. When you spoke to our Life Advisor you discussed a separate life policy to enable you to leave a lump sum for your family if the worst were to happen. At no point in the call did we suggest that the policy was mandatory and we did explain your cancellation rights which were also outlined in your policy documents.
