We always ensure that our customers are notified of this and we ask them to be available to receive the delivery. This is to ensure that any damages or shortages can be notified immediately. In the event of recorded damages we will happily replace or refund these items in accordance with our delivery policy. I'm certain that if you had contacted the Sales Office regarding this we could have reached a satisfactory solution for you. Should you require any materials in the future we would be happy to offer you a credit accordingly.

Hi Colin,
Yes, the sealed manhole cover UG501(a) does require a riser with the base, if no seal is required you can use a BP501. I will add this to the product description. Thank you for your feedback, it is much appreciated .
