I am sorry to learn that arranging this trip by email did not feel as straightforward as it should have been, particularly given that you already knew exactly what you wanted. I also understand how frustrating slow response times, repeated follow-ups, and multiple back-and-forth emails can be, especially when you expected a simpler process. While we do have procedures to follow when confirming travel arrangements, we certainly aim to make the process as smooth as possible, particularly for returning travellers who know their preferred itinerary. I am sorry that this was not your experience on this occasion and that it resulted in what you described as “email fatigue.” Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. This is not standard practice for Distant Journeys; however, on some occasions we are waiting for prices from hotels and airlines, which can delay the process. Once you received your quote, I’m sorry to hear that the price was significantly higher than the brochure price. Unfortunately, prices can and do fluctuate from day to day, which can affect the final cost. I’m also sorry to learn that the price further increased due to an administrative error. Please be assured that your comments will be passed on to our call centre team so they can review and address any issues for future bookings.
