Thank you for your comments. We are extremely surprised at your feedback Kirkpatrick make some of the highest quality ironmongery available. It is all British made in their foundry in Walsall. They go to excellent lengths to make the ironmongery strong and durable. It is actual made from Malleable cast iron which goes though an extra annealing process to remove the carbon making it as strong as steel. The hinged joint on the handle is riveted by hand ( not machined) to ensure it is very strong, and the black coating is double dipped in paint and then powder coated to make it extra tough.
