Decent product, poor customer service.
Were responsive and there was a quick turn around time in completing the resume. Wasn't quite sure what to expect with the finished product, but the resume seems generic, even with the information...

Hi Sonja,
I'm sorry to hear about your accident and would like to apologize for anything perceived as less than stellar customer service from our staff. I do see that upon receipt or our work back in January, you thanked us for doing such a wonderful job and didn't request any substantial revision. It was a full two months later that you re-contacted us -- asking for a good bit of additional work. Please understand that our staff can only go by the existing agreement which entitles customers to 30 days of unlimited revisions. I am now overriding that and will instruct them to make the changes you requested at no additional charge.
Sincerely, Andrew Greenstein

Hi Juan,
I'm very sorry to read this and would like to make it right ! I've addressed each of your concerns below and look forward to hearing from you so we can resolve this in a manner with which you're happy!
1. The following is a random excerpt from your original resume as you submitted it to us:
"My duties as a Supervisory Review Appraiser for the technical branch include the management of timely and orderly completion of appraisal and field reviews from HUD staff appraisers as well as HUD contract review appraisers to ensure the rendering of careful, meaningful and concise evaluations to the appraiser who prepared the valuation reports for HUD"
---searching for how this appears in the new resume we wrote for you, I find much more concise, readable language (below):
"Effectively manage and oversee completion of appraisals/field reviews developed by HUD staff and contract appraisers, utilizing expertise to ensure accuracy of reports/evaluations; also tasked with management responsibilities concerning Partial Releases requiring HUD approval and waivers from HUD guidelines."
Scanning further, I see that virtually every portion of your 7 page Federal resume was re-written just as thoroughly, the format changed entirely, and the strategic emphasis on your relevant strengths..improved dramatically. When you couple all of that writing with the initial hours spent reviewing your old resume and devising a "plan-of-attack," you truly did get a whole lot of professional work done for only $219! It's important to understand that obviously your core job achievements and work history obviously aren't going to change from writer to writer...but they way they are presented certainly has! I'm a bit shocked that you gave us 2 stars. Records indicate that you've not previously contacted us in any way to express any dissatisfaction or to request any revision. You thanked us for our work---and even told us how prospective employers had criticized the resume you had written for yourself. If there's a specific area of your new resume you'd like revised, please contact me directly by calling or texting my personal cell at 352-978-6122 and we'll handle it promptly.
2. More than 80% of U.S. Federal job postings require you to put your SSN# on your resume. Even Monster.com's overview of Federal Resume Writing agrees: http://govcentral.monster.com/federal-resume/articles/9928-federal-resume-writing-checklist You provided your SSN with the assumption that we would include it on yours but it's certainly a simple 1-2 second matter for us to remove it if that's your desire!
Please let me know if you have any questions or want any revisions at all!
Sincerely, Andrew Greenstein

What Trusted Customer said about Resume Writing Group:
Highly Disappointed, Waste of Money
I ordered my resume with an additional 6-10 years experience to be included, for an additional $29.95 on top of the $109.95 (for a total of $139.90) on January 19th to receive my resume within 2-3...

Hi Amanda,
Thank you for your detailed review. I've read it three times to be sure I cover every point as accurately as possible. Your lead concern seems to be the fact that we charged $29.95 for your level of experience and then didn't include all of that experience in our first draft. I can completely understand your concern and why that would raise a proverbial red flag for you. However, the reason we assess the "experience level" charge is because most* clients who have more experience present us with projects that require more time & labor than others. The effort that goes into each document does not begin with the writing..but rather, with the reading...the re-organizing...and the strategy making/decision process. If someone presents us with pages and pages worth of info, we can easily spend a couple of hours reading it, sorting through it, and developing a concise plan re: what to include and what not to include with respect to that client's objective. Certainly, this doesn't apply to EVERY client who has more experience but it certainly applies to the vast majority. In your case, we are more than happy to add the omitted information back in.... though it would be against our professional advice as we believe that information could potentially distract employers from your better/more recent experience which ties directly into your current objective.
I do see that there was an initial delay in your order because you had submitted an unreadable file. We contacted you and you re-sent your resume file successfully. It then did take 4 1/2 business days to complete our draft and we do apologize for the slight delay. I have just credited you back $29.95 for the 'experience level' fee discussed above...as an apology for taking the extra day.
I cannot check your boyfriend's order without his name or Order ID# but we will call you today to get that information and to formulate a plan to promptly resolve all issues so you both love your new resumes. I do not see any grammar mistakes. I do see a bit of "back & forth" between you and your lead writer as she asked (and answered) questions to get more information about your background. A random excerpt from the resume we wrote for you reads as follows:
*Supported administrative logistics within a retail store environment which centered on overseeing store inventory, processing transfers, and placing supply orders
*Played a lead role in various special projects, assisted customers with order inquiries, and supported members of executive leadership
*Coordinated administrative logistics within the organization which included creating and shipping trade show merchandise along with answering incoming phone calls
*Played a lead role in assembling and shipping environmental packets, handled customer service issues, and utilized Microsoft Office Suite on a daily basis
We can certainly help work on this more...but in my honest opinion, it's light years ahead of what you had originally submitted to us which was outdated, riddled with errors, and not ATS-compliant. I do not mean to insult your original version but I can certainly see why you came to us for professional assistance and it may just be the case that you don't see the proverbial 'method to our madness.' We'll review our strategy for your resume with you by phone and if you still don't agree with it, we'll re-write it your way-- no problem.
Hope this helps!!!!

Good morning,
It has now been 10 days, as you said:
“I cannot check your boyfriend's order without his name or Order ID# but we will call you today to get that information and to formulate a plan to promptly resolve all issues so you both love your new resumes.”
This never happened, we were never called to resolve any issues.
I did receive the $29.95 refund, thank you. As you said, you did not see any grammar mistakes but as my email to my writer stated, my resume said “lad role” instead of “lead role”, one job experience was on the resume twice, and multiple grammar/spelling mistakes on my boyfriends resume, Order ID#351472, which were emailed to his writer twice to revise then we ended up fixing ourselves.
I understand my resume needed work, that’s why I paid a lot of money for help. As a young professional I have the opportunity to highly recommend your business to countless other young professionals needing help but unfortunately with the service we received, or rather didn’t receive, I will not be doing so.

Dear Amanda,
Thanks for your follow-up. I've addressed each of your concerns below-- Hope this helps!!!!
*Marilyn Somerset has left you messages and made multiple call attempts. We will try again in the next few minutes.
*I don't mean to nitpick, but this is important: "lad role" only appeared on an early draft of your resume and as we both know, it was corrected long before you posted this! It is not a grammar mistake, it's a spelling error---and not the type that would show up in MS WORD' spell check or grammar check. While we certainly strive to produce error-free early drafts, it is extremely likely to have a human error here or there and then we go ahead and correct it in the next draft. That's what the process is all about. I'm certainly sorry that one of our earlier drafts read "lad role" instead of "lead role" but it was quickly fixed and in my opinion, hardly deserving of a 1 star rating.
If you have any remaining concerns at all w/ your resume-- we'll handle it today on the phone and fix it right away
Sincerely, Andrew Greenstein

The resume looks great, but I am yet to get enough interviews. Once that happens, then I can come back and re-evaluate, but for now. I can only judge the process (which was easy) and the documents.

Thanks, Danielle! Your review is an exceptionally important one as it highlights that it's very possible for our work to look like a simple "re-arrangement" of your own but it certainly never is! A client's career history is always going to be that same client's same history no matter what we write. Upon careful review, it's plain to see, however, that we do extensive writing and that very careful thought, organization, and planning goes into each resume project we produce.
Please let us know if we can do anything to earn additional stars from you ; )
