Dear Mr Dennis, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback regarding your recent rental with Dollar. I am sorry to hear of your disappointment on this occasion. I can see that you were in contact with our Reservations Team at the time of collection due to the delays that you were encountering. This really is not the usual level of service that we have come to expect from Dollar. The shuttlebus does normally only take about 10-15 minutes. If these journeys are longer, we do tend to state this time in the terms. Unfortunately, we are unable to prevent the providers from offering their own products. As long as the main driver of the vehicle can provide their credit card for the security deposit required, then the local insurance can be refused. At no point should you feel pressured into purchasing this product. It is optional if you can provide the security deposit required. It is difficult for us to comment on the conversation that took place locally. As the excess reimbursement insurance and top up insurance are reimbursement policies, Dollar will charge for any damages as these insurances are not connected to them. This is why they need a security deposit and a claim needs to be submitted to Orchard Administration for reimbursement. Standard mechanical breakdown is included in the rates. Breakdowns suffered as a result of misfuelling or tyres as examples are chargeable by the provider. A claim for these costs incurred could then be submitted to Orchard Administration through the top up insurance. I am pleased that you called us at the time of these products being offered, it is always best to check before accepting. In this instance, nothing extra was necessary. We do value all feedback that we receive as this assists us in monitoring the services of the providers going forward.
