I’m very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the condition of the 1912 penny and the presentation of the frame. As the penny dates from 1912 and was originally issued for general circulation, all examples will show signs of wear to some degree. Variations in condition are therefore unavoidable with coins of this age. That said, I appreciate that the level of wear you received has fallen short of what you were hoping for. You are, of course, very welcome to return the item for either a full refund or a replacement. If you would prefer a replacement, we will do our best to select an alternative example for you, although please note that some wear will still be present due to the coin’s history and age.
