Hi Jo, Thanks for your review. It's a shame to hear you're unhappy with your mat. New mats will have excess lint to start with, even after the first wash. But they tend to settle down once they've had a bit of wear. I would recommend giving them a brush & a hoover to see if that helps initially. Turtle Mat backings are anti-slip and engineered to minimise movement as much as possible; however we cannot guarantee there will be no movement as there are so many different floor finishes and carpet finishes and piles.
