It seems that the package was finally delivered, but after more than one attempt (the first was of course next day, as per our usual service), possibly due to the householder being absent. Many thanks for your order, and for your review: it would seem that the delivery was attempted next day as part of our normal service, but that the addressee was out. The package was then taken to the Post Office for collection, as is normal, and a card left. The problems then arose due to Royal Mail's initial denial that they had the package when you turned up to collect, certainly a dismal failure. We subsequently established the presence of the package at the Post Office after all, which of course allowed you to collect originally expected.
