Thank you for your comments and thank you for recognising that Kangaroo Island is more than a one day destination. We are sorry to hear that you thought your tour was too long, a bit rushed and not good value. We are always trying to encourage visitors to stay longer than just one day but unfortunately many visitors to our state have only made allowance for one day to see Kangaroo Island as they don’t realise the distances that need to be travelled and the large size of the island, so hence we also need to cater for the one day market. The tour you travelled on was of large coach touring style but for your information we do offer 2 Day large group touring, smaller group adventure touring (up to 21) and also multi-lingual, personalised touring options in 4x4 vehicles. We really do offer experiences for all markets.
On the one day KI Experience tour that you travel on, we agree, we do pack quite a lot in and it is a long day when you do the trip from Adelaide. We offer this one day tour because the market demands it and we try to show as many of the major highlights as possible and give our visitors a good taste of the offerings on Kangaroo Island such as Seal Bay, The Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, Flinders Chase National Park, Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. As you know this just scratches the surface as there are so many other things to see and do on Kangaroo Island. We certainly also encourage people to take a self-drive holiday with their own car or a hire car. This enables them to stay as long as they like and see all the sights at their leisure.
