With regards to the strike, we understand that this may have been a concern during your travels. This situation also occurred last year, during which we did not receive feedback to suggest that our guests’ holidays were adversely affected.
In relation to housekeeping, we appreciate that this may have differed from your expectations. Norway places a strong emphasis on environmentally sustainable practices, and as such, while housekeeping services are readily available, it is more customary for these to be requested as required rather than provided automatically on a daily basis. We are sorry if this approach was not made clear or impacted your overall comfort.

It wasn't that I was concerned about the lack of housekeeping but closure of the Italian restaurant at the Skandic Vulkan. The breakfast however at the Skandic was very good. The strike impacted on the service at breakfast at the Comfort hotel, they ran out of cutlery, bread, cups, coffee etc they replaced things in dribs & drabs.
