Thank you for your review. We were very sorry to read of your disappointment following the curtailment of your cruise after the vessel made contact with the river bed. We fully appreciate how upsetting it must have been to have your holiday unexpectedly cut short. We note your comments regarding the refund offered and your view that it did not adequately reflect the impact the curtailment had on your overall holiday experience, particularly as a number of the included excursions were scheduled for the latter part of the itinerary. As the flights were provided, these were not taken into consideration when calculating the refund. Following the incident, a review was conducted by our Senior Management Team, who concluded their assessment in line with the refund offered. We were, however, sorry to note your dissatisfaction with the outcome of your discussions with ABTA and the claims process that followed.

We also note your concerns regarding the standard of fire safety at the hotel, which you advise have been raised separately. The safety and wellbeing of our guests is paramount.
