Dear Mr C,

We are very disappointed to read your feedback following you visit to our York dealership.  Having spoken with the team at York we would like to make a number of comments.  As you are aware your car has been in on three occasions for various faults however the main fault was intermittent and the part required to repair this was on 'back order'.  As soon as this part arrived we arranged for your car to be collected and we organised a new XC90 courtesy car for you.  We have reiterated to the team of explaining any delays of this nature to our customers.

The labour charge was as a consequence of having to replace a damaged rear lamp after your car had been reversed into scaffolding.  This is not a five minute job as I think you initially thought it was as it does involve removing the rear bumper.  We know that this was explained to you by our Workshop Controller in advance along with the potential cost.

With regards to the condition of your vehicle.  We have discussed your comments with the team.  The car was given a free wash and hoover which is obviously not as detailed as a valet but again your comments have been discussed. 

We are sorry that you feel disappointed with our service as we obviously strive to offer outstanding customer service and treat people as we would like to be treated ourselves.  We do hope that this will not prevent you from visiting our dealership again in the future.  If you do wish to discuss this further please do not hesitate to contact our Group Service Manager, David Kellett on 01904 789789.
