Hi Julia. I've spoken to our design team and they've assured me that the fixture complies with EU and British regulations. They've made the decision to now supply this light fixture wired with 0.5m of rubber flex cable. This will ensure that no issues similar to what you've experienced can arise when wiring on site by your electrician. I've sent you an email on this with an offer of replacing your existing fixture.

Beautiful, top quality lights, and service.
The light arrived on the stated date, and they graciously replaced the glass component promptly, as it had a small chip on the rim.
