It is deciduous and your plants will have lost their leaves in autumn and will be looking rather bare at the moment. In spring lots of healthy green leaves will push through and in summer they will produce pretty pink flowers that will attract lots of butterflies and bees and after flowering you will see rosehip fruits appear that will feed lots of hungry birds.
