Hi , We're very sorry that you feel this way about the service, we are obviously unhappy you feel this way as we prefer all of our customers to have a good experience. We can only apologise for any damages that have occurred, this is not the standard that GMS expect. We have checked our records and as you did not take out any insurance, we are not then liable for any damages that occur, our liability is capped at £40 per box/item. As such, and in accordance with clauses 8.1 & 8.2, GMS’ liability is capped at a maximum of £40.00 per box/item. I would also draw your attention to clause 3.1.1 which lays out your responsibility to ensure that “adequate insurance is arranged against all insurable risk”. Even in the replies you are shown to be simply incompetent. The reason why I do not recommend using your company for a move is that you are not liable for your negligence in losing packages. Having insurance on top is something that should be something more. You are clearly admitting that you completely give a damn and not give back if you have done your job poorly. If an airline loses my baggage it pays me back, if I have extra insurance I will be compensated much more generously. Your ÂŁ 40 is the equivalent of the volume of the boxes that I payed for and that if you don't deliver them to me, you are forced to refund me (or do you want to keep my money for a volume that you have not given me?). It is therefore assumed that for the theft / loss you will not pay me back even ÂŁ 1.Ttherefore I advise against not using a company that does not provide basic insurance for their own mistakes.

We’re very sorry that you feel this way about the service, we are unhappy you feel this way as we prefer all our customers to have a good experience. We have checked our records and found that you have been successful in your claim for the damage done to your TV.Regarding the other issues raised in your comments, it’s clear from your file that these have been discussed with you, extra charges were incurred due to being over volume and, as you did not take out any insurance, which was stated in your quote, we are not then liable for any damages that occur, our liability is capped at £40 per box/item.However, I will reiterate what Richard mentioned in an email to you about our terms and conditions surrounding insurance; “As per your initial Quotation, it is clearly denoted on page 1 that insurance is “available at a rate of 3% of your declared value”, Insurance is also mentioned on page 3 stating “When you’re ready to discuss this further, just let me know and I can provide you with everything you need.”Having looked at your file, insurance was not taken through GMS and as such, and in accordance with clauses 8.1 & 8.2, GMS’ liability is capped at a maximum of £40.00 per box/item. I would also draw your attention to clause 3.1.1 which lays out your responsibility to ensure that “adequate insurance is arranged against all insurable risk”.We do feel that in this instance we acted as per our agreement with you through our terms and conditions, however, please feel free to contact us at customerservices@gmsmove.com should you have any further issues you wish to speak to us about.
