Hi, we're sorry to hear about this. The sound you describe could be caused by ripple control, which occurs in some areas of Queensland and New South Wales. Ripple control can affect electrical products (including ceiling fans), and result in unwelcome noise. If this is the case, you may be able to purchase a filter to reduce the effects. The best way to find out if you're in an area affected by ripple control is to contact your electricity supplier. They should be able to advise you.
