My daughter (17 years) took the test after having been under the care of our GP for several months. She had been prescribed a variety of anti-acid and anti-nausea medications to stop the feeling of overwhelming sickness and fatigue every time she ate anything. She used to have to decide whether to eat at all and also when to eat depending on what she knew she had to do in the following hours. She had been feeling unwell at school and had been sent home by her teachers on a few occasions. She also missed a few days when she felt particularly ill. We have had to alert the school formally so that they are aware of what appeared to be a medical problem. She has had blood tests which came back as normal. She was found not to be suffering from coeliac disease. She has had an H pylori test as the thinking was that she had a stomach ulcer; this was negative. She has had an ultrasound scan and the results came back as normal. She was due to have an endoscopy but we felt that perhaps we should investigate the ImuPro test before she endured that test. As soon as the ImuPro test results arrived she immediately started a new regime and felt much better within a day or so. It is wonderful to see how much she has improved. The instructions with the results were to not eat certain foods for the next five weeks and she is still at the point of not eating these foods. In the main, she now has no dairy, no gluten, no eggs, no brazil nuts and no sweet peppers. She was advised to take a probiotic supplement and we have found one that is dairy-free. She also received a rotation diet sheet that she eats, say, rice on day one but no rice again until day five. This has been harder to comply with particularly as rice flour crops up in many gluten-free products. In the next few weeks she will start re-introducing the foods to which she is sensitive to see how she reacts. Even if she finds she can't tolerate these foods, at least she now knows what she can eat to remain well.
