Thankyou so much for your feedback. As per our recent conversation, we are so sorry for the mix up with the hotel. The usual option, Chez Pierre that we use on route to Erg Chebbi was full on this occasion and we were forced to book an alternative. Unfortunately, due to an administrative error, we didn't communicate this with you, which was entirely our fault. We have since refunded you for that night's accommodation.
We have also discussed with you your comments on the lunch stops on route to the desert. Due to the long distances involved and lack of choice on route we do have limited options. Our guides and drivers are strictly not allowed to take commission and I am following this up with the driver to make sure this hasn't been the case.
The trip out to the Sahara Desert in Morocco is unavoidably long. I do agree with you another night here would have been preferable. Generally, our preference is to take 5 or more days over the journey to break up the long drives, in this way the actual journey and breathtaking scenery is as much a highlight as camping out under the stars. Four days is perfectly manageable for the trip if time is short and three days only if time is very short and you enjoy long road journeys.
Apologies again for the mix up with the hotel in the Sahara. I am glad that you still enjoyed your trip and had a positive experience in this lovely country.
