At first thought the pillow was too tough to lay on but tried taking some of " stuffing" out & find it much more to my liking. Hopefully ear will heal after not putting constant pressure on it.

Dear Colleen,

Thank you for your considered feedback. It's always a bitter disappointment to myself when someone doesn't find relief in our pillows, so I'd like to see if I can find a way to improve the comfort for you.

Here's a few points you may have already considered by I think they are worth mentioning, just in case.

1. The neck section is wider on one side than on the other. Perhaps the thinner side would suit you better.

2. It is always a good idea to take out all the stuffing and re-stuff it afresh. This ensures even distribution and helps to maximize comfort.

This purchase was for my 86 yr old mother-in-law and I wrote the review per her direction. She did notice the thinner side and in fact altered it by a few inches and removed some of the stuffing. The zipper feature is very useful for adjusting the amount of stuffing. She finds the pillow helpful for naps when she doesn't move but not through the night. I did upgrade the rating because it is a very well made pillow and the idea is still a good one.

I would recommend the pillow with a hole . I was having trouble with my ear hitting my regular pillow and causing pain but since getting the pillow my ear has healed somewhat and I am so pleased.

Glad to hear it, Linda! Although I must point out that the pillowcase also has a hole in it, so there's no hammock effect! I don't think the old photos were very clear so we have updated them.
