Thank you for your review. We sincerely apologise for the disappointment and impact to your recent ocean voyage.
Despite our best efforts to complete the mandatory hull cleaning to comply with New Zealand's stringent biosecurity requirements, further inspections ahead of our planned entry date, revealed additional cleaning was necessary to obtain the required certifications for Scenic Eclipse II's entry into New Zealand waters. We attempted to resolve this issue by coordinating with local agents and divers in Fiji, however the only viable option was to conduct the hull cleaning off the coast of New Zealand before entering Auckland port. This biosecurity restriction prevented us from visiting any ports of call and significantly modified the planned itinerary.
We acknowledge the impact this had on you and all guests on board this voyage, therefore compensation has been provided. Once again, we sincerely apologise for the disappointment caused and do hope to have the opportunity to welcome you on board another Scenic Eclipse voyage in the future.
