With regards to your comment concerning access to medication without cancelling the alarm, the medication is accessed by turning the dispenser over and pouring the pills into the hand or suitable container. The shutter will swing open as the dispenser is tilted allowing the medication to fall out. When the dispenser 'beeps' (at approximately 135 degrees) the alarm will be cancelled and the dispenser can be returned to the upright position.
