It's possible that a payment was due whilst the settlement figure was being processed which may not have been received. If this is the case then we'd need to report a missed payment to your credit file. This would have been explained to you if you've spoken with us and is also highlighted in any communications we send. If this isn't the case and you feel we've caused your credit file damage when we shouldn't have then please contact us to raise a complaint. Hi Richard and thanks for the review. I'm sorry if you've had difficulties getting through to us. We have been experiencing a very high call volume and we're working hard to reduce those queues. Thank you for your patience when you have tried to call. We work hard to reward loyal customers with further agreements, often at a reduced rate, but this isn't always possible. We still need to run our usual credit checks and undergo our usual underwriting processes so it could be that something has come up in those checks that's prevented us from offering a further deal.
