Many thanks for your feedback it is very much appreciated, I'm sorry to hear that this Berisfords Ribbon is faying when its cut. It's not an issue that has been brought to our attention before.
If you would like to send a small sample back to us we will look at this for you with pleasure and send it off to the manufacturer to check.
As a general rule most ribbons will fray by a strand or two when cut straight just by the fact that they are a woven product. But this should only be a very small amount then the woven edges normally stop any further fraying unless the ribbon ends are pulled or rubbed a lot.
one solution that normally works well is to cut the ribbon at a 45 degree angle. Alternatively we can supply ribbon cut to length and heat sealed at the ends to prevent it fraying especially if its going on to a product that's going to be handled a lot.
