All good apart from how they withdraw flights months in advance and then introduce them again a month or so in advance and you find yourself on flights with loads of spare capacity? People will have...

Many Thanks for your feedback. We're not sure where that information has come from as FlyDirect have never withdrawn flights and then reinstated them, however we do occasionally restrict the durations that are available to book on popular departure dates such as Christmas and half-term. The Smartwings aircraft from the Isle of Man to Tenerife always has spare seating capacity even when 'full' as we operate with a weight restriction on that route. Thank you for your feedback. The initial 90-minute delay was due to air traffic control restrictions at Tenerife Airport, and we’re sorry that this was not clearly communicated by the crew at the time. This is something we will address with them. The flight was able to make up approximately 40 minutes of the delay, and we hope this shorter delay at the start of your holiday did not impact your time away.

Check in is really unacceptable, not enough staff and it takes so long both sides. We arrived on time for both checkin stated opening time and it took over 1 hour and 30 minutes to action check in....

A better way to travel to/from an Island but could be improved

Check in facilities at Tenerife took up to an hour and a half. The plane departure was delayed but there was no information as to why and how long.
