We are happy to hear you had a good experience on the Portuguese Way overall. We appreciate the feedback. Our holiday packs include passports and luggage tags (sent by post); as well as walking notes (or guidebook, depending on the route), hotel vouchers and general information sent by email for walkers to download. This should cover most of the walker's questions, such as luggage collection. The team is also happy to help with questions at any stage of the booking process. In relation to accommodation, we always try to get the best accommodation possible along the Camino trail, preferably in town; but in smaller villages, accommodation options might be limited (particularly in winter months). In those cases, we work with hotels/guest houses as close as possible to the route and this information should be included in your hotel vouchers. I know, this is not ideal in winter when days are shorter and weather can be temperamental but we hope it didn't take from the overall experience and that you consider CaminoWays.com for any future Camino trips. We are continuously trying to improve our walking notes however it is true that the sign posting on the Camino is excellent and as such there should be no problem to find the way. We offer dinner in all smaller towns as often options can be limited however it is also no problem to book on a B&B only basis. We hope we can be of assistance in planning another walk in the future. Thank you for your feedback, Les. We are happy to hear you had a good booking experience but disappointed you did not feel the trip was good value for money. We booked: 13 different hotels, provided luggage transfers, breakfast every morning, 11 dinners, airport transfers, a Parador booking, holiday pack and offered 24hr support throughout your trip. With regards to some of the hotels, options in some of the very small towns on the Camino are quite limited and we book the best available in each town.
